[opensuse-buildservice] Building PHP Packages
Hello! I have added php5-pecl-fileinfo to my repository at https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=home%3Aweberho%3Aphp compilation works quite good and everything is fine, except that the resulting package for opensuse 11.0 requires php5 = 5.2.5 but the opensuse 11.0 system PHP 5.2.6 installed meanwhile. Is there a way to build packages for the latest productive version of php in the opensuse release instead of building for the the original released version? You are duplicating work, I mantain a complete set of dozens of php extensions, in the server:php:extensions repository.. yes, I need help ASAP !! you are welcome to join the effort ;)

you have to build against the "update" repository. -- "A computer is like an Old Testament god, with a lot of rules and no mercy. " Cristian Rodríguez R. Platform/OpenSUSE - Core Services SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Research & Development http://www.opensuse.org/
Thank you for the quick response! Of course I have searched the build-server before I added the repository; I thought, that all pecl - packaged are named in the scheme php5-pecl-*, so I did not identify the php5-fileinfo package as the one I have been looking for. I used your php5-pecl-memcache spec as template for mine, so we produced nearly the same thing - I'll delete mine. -- You write "you have to build against the "update" repository.", where is the magic setting to do that? Thank you and best regards, Johannes Am 15.10.2008 22:44, Cristian Rodríguez schrieb:

Go to the "add repository" page and click the "[Advanced]" link at the bottom of the page. Then search for the build target named "openSUSE:11.0:Update/standard", select it and click the "save changes" button. You can also build against any other project, for example against the KDE4 project if you package a KDE package that requires the latest KDE4 libs etc. Regards, Christian Boltz --
