[opensuse-buildservice] outdated devel:libraries:c_c++/curl
Hi, I found that there's a curl package in devel:libraries:c_c++, unfortunately a bit outdated. Is it possible to update it, preferably by linking the openSUSE:Factory/curl package? thanks, Michal --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

It seems that curl in devel:libraries:c_c++ meanwhile is a link to the package from Factory. Issue is, that devel:libraries:c_c++/curl is aggregated to devel:languages:python/curl, from where it happens to get into my system. Problem is, that the newer (version 4) libcurl doesn't fulfil a number of dependencies in my system: Error: Missing Dependency: libcurl.so.3 is needed by package python-curl Error: Missing Dependency: libcurl.so.3 is needed by package libzypp-zmd-backend Error: Missing Dependency: libcurl.so.3 is needed by package libzypp Error: Missing Dependency: libcurl.so.3 is needed by package asterisk Error: Missing Dependency: libcurl.so.3 is needed by package yast2-transfer Is there anything I can/should do? link the libcurl3 package to d:l:c_c++ and d:l:p darix -- openSUSE - SUSE Linux is my linux openSUSE is good for you www.opensuse.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

link the libcurl3 package to d:l:c_c++ and d:l:p
There is no such package in the buildservice or in Factory. Where do you see it? Peter -- "WARNING: This bug is visible to non-employees. Please be respectful!" SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Research & Development

The problem persists. The curl from Factory prohibits usage of devel:languages:python (and possibly other projects). Michal Marek suspects that although the sources for libcurl3 do exist in 10.3, no 10.3 sources exist in the BS:
$ osc req /source/openSUSE:10.3/libcurl3 <directory> </directory>
So should libcurl3 be copied into devel:libraries:c_c++ maybe? Peter -- "WARNING: This bug is visible to non-employees. Please be respectful!" SUSE LINUX Products GmbH Research & Development
