Fwd: [opensuse-buildservice] Project Home for openastro.
If you made the main project 'Divination', that would include any
future builds of Tarot, I Ching, Rune or Oracle software, which would face a similar issue. Alternatively, under Education with Bible software.
500 years ago we burned over 50.000 people in one year on the stake for Heresy. I find hard as a Roman Catholic not to see that as plain Heresy. We don't have Dominican Friars around, but we can for sure start a Domini:Canis Project :)

I was making a point about the selective 'passing of judgment' on projects. This is not the place for a debate on religious persecution. Just organize a home for this project, in Education or Entertainment. How about we simply make some "Entertainment" root project, move "Games" and whatever else fitting bellow that and also create some "Astrology" or "PseudoScience" subproject and just be done with it so everyone is happy and the names seems to fit as well? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I do not think that packagers should be making editorial comments about the nature of astrology in classifying it. "Entertainment" "Games" and "PseudoScience" are as bad as "Science" or "Education". Some take astrology seriously. Linux is about freedom. Let each individual be free to make up his or her own mind about larger issues. Packagers should package programs accurately letting users decide questions of worth. I suggest some neutral classification such as "graphics". All will agree that astrology programs produce graphical output. Some people like looking at horoscopes only to enjoy looking at the unusual symbols. -- Paul Elliott 1(512)837-1096 pelliott@BlackPatchPanel.com PMB 181, 11900 Metric Blvd Suite J http://www.free.blackpatchpanel.com/pme/ Austin TX 78758-3117
