[opensuse-buildservice] BuildService API error: ERROR: service is not installed !Can maybe solved with: zypper in obs-server-download_url
Hi everybody, A weird issue appeared, which I first though would be coming from my own BS instance, but it is also on OBS. Terminal output: $>osc co multimedia:libs libvpx A multimedia:libs A multimedia:libs/libvpx A multimedia:libs/libvpx/_service A multimedia:libs/libvpx/buildfix.diff A multimedia:libs/libvpx/libvpx.changes A multimedia:libs/libvpx/libvpx.spec A multimedia:libs/libvpx/upstream.diff $>cd multimedia:libs/libvpx $>osc up At revision 11. Anything I can do here from my side? (I care less for libvpx on OBS than for the one linked to my own BS, but still).
Do you have tried to installed this source service ? Yes, these are server side generated sources. That means they need to get generated on your workstation as well if you want to modify the sources. Or you can download the server side generated ones (osc co -s ...) bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

My first idea of course was to follow the advise of osc: zypper in obs-server-download_url Retrieving repository 'G:F' metadata [done] Building repository 'G:F' cache [done] Retrieving repository 'NM081' metadata [done] Building repository 'NM081' cache [done] Retrieving repository 'VideoLan Repository' metadata [done] Building repository 'VideoLan Repository' cache [done] Retrieving repository 'games' metadata [done] Building repository 'games' cache [done] Retrieving repository 'openSUSE.org tools (openSUSE_Factory)' metadata [done] Building repository 'openSUSE.org tools (openSUSE_Factory)' cache [done] Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Package 'obs-server' not found. Resolving package dependencies... Nothing to do. (hmm.. that actually looks like a bug in zypper! I did NOT look for obs-server to be installed...) But either way: zypper se obs-server Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... S | Name | Summary | Type --+------------+------------------------------------------------+----------- | obs-server | The openSUSE Build Service -- Server Component | package | obs-server | The openSUSE Build Service -- Server Component | srcpackage so something is advertised that does not yet exist. And some looking in the project reveals that osc is (or the API?) is simply lying: it's called obs-service-download_url, NOT obs-server-download_url The next one it 'lies' about is obs-server-verify_file (same, it should be osc-service-verify_file). Eitherway: I'd think recommending those on rpm level would not be wrong, as many users might run into it. obs-service-verify-file actually does not even exist in openSUSE:Tools; it can only be found in openSUSE:Tools:Unstable so far... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

indeed, fixed in osc git.

that is actually already the case for the unstable osc version. But updaters will not get it installed in this way. bye adrian
