[opensuse-buildservice] Admin privileges in WebUI
Hi, last week we upgraded our local buildservice to 1.7.3 (from 1.6). One of the changes we observe, is the missing admin privileges on the webui. Is this intentionally, or did I miss something during upgrade? Privileges are fine when using osc, but I can't disable repositories, etc. on other peoples projects using the webui (logged in as user with admin privileges). Any ideas? Yes, the items are only visible now if the user is a maintainer. Unfortunatly, it is not that is easy to check if a user is an admin in webui code atm. I think we need an api call for that ... As usual, patches are welcome :) bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Any ideas? Can you please name your use case? Are you really an adminstrator looking over other people or do you abuse the adminstrator account to use the build service in single user mode?
Perhaps we can support your use case better. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

No - we do have a real use case (at least I think so): We (linux group of the computer center) have quite some colleagues trying to build their own packages. However we're often asked for advice, or need to fix some of our users problems. It was possible to do this in the 1.6 release and we can still do it with osc in 1.7, but sometimes it is easier to do the changes in the webui. Hope this helps to clarify our use case.

Greetings, Stephan
