[opensuse-buildservice] obs instance: upgrade or migration ?
Hi, having an own obs instance (SLES 11 SP3, obs 2.6.10) Now I want to hear your opinion on how to get an obs 2.7.x on SLES 12 SP1 Would you prefer a zypper dup (not sure if it is possible with a SLES 11 SP3 or if I need SP4 first) Or if I should setup a fresh box with SLES 12 SP1 with obs 2.6.10 ... migrate database and sync /srv/obs ... The 'upgrade info' from 2.6.x to 2.7.x should also be in obs Server 2.6 package. You should be able to read 'Upgrade info' before you start installing packages ;) Don't you think so ? I did setup a box with SLES 12 SP1, then installed obs 2.6.x - rsync -vaxHAX OLDbox:/srv/obs/* NEWbox:/srv/obs/ - did a mysqldump on OLDbox and imported on NEWbox - did modify /usr/lib/obs/server/BSConfig.pm and of course modified /etc/sysconfig/obs-server Is this all or did I forget something ?
