jpackage-utils can't be used to build packages on the openSUSE-Factory it triggers this bug:

This happens both on i586 and x86-64.

This is fixed in the package jpackage-utils 1.7.3-4 (according to the commit mailinglist) could this please be synced to the buildservice if there is no other known problem with factory now and if this don't break your schedule?

How is one supposed to notice if a package fails in the OBS Factory if the buildservice doesn't send emails about it?

first of all, we only will build the packages, but not yet release them for now. So you should handle it like with the OBS projects, simply watch the monitor page, because we have no notification system yet.
