[opensuse-buildservice] Package overview for build repositories
Hello, is there any list, where I can find out what repository contains which RPM's. When I get an dependency problem or expansion errors it would be helpful to have a look at the existing packages to find out, which one matches my needs. For now I always used rpmsearch to find that out, but this seems to be a very complicated way. A link somewhere from the package page to a complete list of available packages would be very helpful. The backend currently has an experimental search on the repository data, but it's not passed through the API yet: $ curl http://backend/build/home:jnweiger/Fedora_Extras_6/i586/_repository -g -d match='contains(provides,"libGL")' <collection> <value>Glide3-libGL</value> <value>mesa-libGL</value> <value>mesa-libGL-devel</value> <value>mesa-libGLU</value> <value>mesa-libGLU-devel</value> <value>mesa-libGLw</value> <value>mesa-libGLw-devel</value> <value>xorg-x11-server-Xorg</value> </collection> $ curl http://backend/build/home:jnweiger/Fedora_Extras_6/i586/_repository -g -d match='[name="mesa-libGL"]/provides' <collection> <value>i810_dri.so</value> <value>i915_dri.so</value> <value>i965_dri.so</value> <value>libGL</value> <value>libGL.so.1</value> <value>mga_dri.so</value> <value>r128_dri.so</value> <value>r200_dri.so</value> <value>r300_dri.so</value> <value>radeon_dri.so</value> <value>savage_dri.so</value> <value>tdfx_dri.so</value> <value>unichrome_dri.so</value> <value>mesa-libGL</value> </collection> Cheers, Michael. -- Michael Schroeder mls@suse.de main(_){while(_=~getchar())putchar(~_-1/(~(_|32)/13*2-11)*13);} --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

This and the other answer I got only covers the buildservice packages. Well, that's not my problem. I need a list of the base packages. E.g. for openSUSE10.2 I can look on my own system, but what about Fedora 4-6 or Mandriva or older SUSE's. I need some what to find out which of the default system packages provide the required functionality. But we do have Fedora/Mandriva base packages in the build service, don't we? I'm looking for such a list as well. If those Fedora/Mandriva base packages are in the build service how does one retrieve the list? -- Richard Bos We are borrowing the world of our children, It is not inherited from our parents. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

You can get a list of rpms/debs via http://api/build/<project>/<repository>/<arch>/_repository/ As for searching, this needs to be added to the api. I use: rsync -a rsync://ftp-1.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/ --include=rpm --exclude=html | tr -s " " | cut -d" " -f5- | grep rpm | grep openSUSE_10.2 | grep -Eiv "/src/|gnome" | sort It surfs me very well. e.g: # grep orphan /home/richard/Documents/BSpkgs home:/rbos/openSUSE_10.2/noarch/rpmorphan-0.4-3.1.noarch.rpm and: # grep rsnapshot /home/richard/Documents/BSpkgs Archiving:/Backup/openSUSE_10.2/noarch/rsnapshot-1.3.0-3.2.noarch.rpm home:/Jochus/openSUSE_10.2/noarch/rsnapshot-1.3.0-3.1.noarch.rpm home:/rbos/openSUSE_10.2/noarch/rsnapshot-1.3.0-4.1.noarch.rpm -- Richard Bos We are borrowing the world of our children, It is not inherited from our parents. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
