[opensuse-buildservice] installation packages dependency on fedora 13
These days I am trying to setup a local opensuse build service on my machine. When I install the packages (downloaded from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tools/Fedora_13/x86_64/), there are 2 packages depended: error: Failed dependencies: gpg2_signd_support is needed by obs-signd-2.1.1-1.1.x86_64 python-elementtree is needed by pybugz-0.7.3-1.1.x86_64 I try to search these 2 packages from FC13 repository, but it seems no such packages. Have anyone else encountered the similar problem ? If yes, could you please give me any hint ? Thanks in advance. -- Coly Li -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

This is provided by the patched gpg2 package of openSUSE:Tools. That one is not building atm for Fedora unfortunatly.
python-elementtree is needed by pybugz-0.7.3-1.1.x86_64
pybugz is not needed for OBS. Actually, I am thinking about to remove it at all, because I am not aware of anyone who uses it ...

please try to fix gpg2 build for Fedora (via osc branch & osc sr). thanks adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

right, because it is not building. Btw, also the obs-server itself and the needed rails stack is currently not building for Fedora. If you want to run OBS on Fedora, you would need to fix all these packages (I won't because I focus on openSUSE as a base). Oops, I though it was only gpg2 package. From the wiki, it is said OBS can run on centos and rhel, so I take it for granted that it can run on Fedora. I though the packages were only, OBS-Addon-Factory-release-2.0.0-1.1.x86_64.rpm OBS-Addon-Factory-release-cd-2.0.0-1.1.x86_64.rpm OBS-Addon-release-2.0.0-1.1.x86_64.rpm OBS-Addon-release-cd-2.0.0-1.1.x86_64.rpm obs-common-2.0.1-1.1.x86_64.rpm obs-signd-2.1.1-1.1.x86_64.rpm osc-0.128-17.1.x86_64.rpm pybugz-0.7.3-1.1.x86_64.rpm Now I know there are quite more packages to fix :-) Before fixing the packaging, is there anyone make it to run the OBS stacks on non-(open)SUSE distro ? I know that some people are running it directly from git on debian. But I am not aware of anyone who helps to package OBS for other distros. Most are using the OBS Appliance in the end, I guess. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I will have a try to package it on FC. If it is time consuming, I will run OBS on openSUSE to build FC packages. Thanks. -- Coly Li -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
