[opensuse-buildservice] submitreq --supersede=SUPERSEDE
I'm wondering how 'osc submitreq --supersede=SUPERSEDE' works (0.130.1). Does it actually require a parameter? If yes, should it be a to be superseded request id? If yes, this would be rather annoying for me. I just want to supersede a previous request unconditionally. Or shall I better use --yes in this case? -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Neither nor any combination of these switches work for me. Just tested with our internal OBS instance. -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

There was an issue (fixed with next packages in openSUSE:Tools:Unstable), but it should worked also to some degree before. Can you reproduce it with "osc -d sr ..." and mail me the output ? -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

osc submitreq --supersede=12345 .... changes SR#12345 into state 'superseded' and processes the request then.

If you don't use the --supersede option, osc will search for any requests to supersede, and will print out a list, where you have to respond with 'y'.
Or shall I better use --yes in this case?
No, the --yes option has no effect on this. This probably means, I must search for the ID first; something along these lines seem to do the trick (but is inherently dangerous, because the 'list output format may change): osc request list --mine PRJ PKG | awk '{print $1; exit}'

Yes, but I need something non-interactively. I probably can work around it using 'yes': yes | osc sr -mupdate PRJ PKG TARGET -- Karl Eichwalder SUSE LINUX Products GmbH R&D / Documentation Maxfeldstraße 5 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
