[opensuse-buildservice] Try out OpenID Prototype
Hi All, I have been working on developing a Prototype for OpenID login in buildservice. The prototype is described here( http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service/OpenID_GSOC_Implementation#Prototype) In short the prototype allows you to map your existing login to an OpenID. Once the mapping is created you can login via the mapped OpenID. How does OpenID work in Opensuse? ( http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service/OpenID_GSOC_Implementation#How_does_Ope... ) Instructions for trying it out ( http://en.opensuse.org/Build_Service/OpenID_GSOC_Implementation#Trying_it_ou... ) Feedback would be appreciated. ---- Next step would be to allow login via any openid. If the openid is mapped to an user account, the corresponding user will be logged in, otherwise a new user will be created. This will remove the requirement of having a Novell login to try out buildservice. Hi All,
I have been working on developing a Prototype for OpenID login in buildservice.
Does this include an openId provider that uses Novell accounts for authentication? Or are you just focussing on allowing the opensuse infrastructure to consume openid? An openid provider would be very useful for community projects. -- Benjamin Weber -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Novell already is an OpenID provider. My work focuses on supporting any OpenID for logging into buildservice.

Novell already is an OpenID provider.
Since when? What URI can I use to use my Novell account as an openID? -- Benjamin Weber -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

It currently is limited to suse servers. So you can use the Novell account as openID to log in to SUSE Studio, and any other services which will support OpenID, but you can't use it to log in to servers on other domains. -- Cornelius Schumacher <cschum@suse.de> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Is this a technical limitation or an intentional limitation? -- Benjamin Weber -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

It's an intentional limitation right now. -- Cornelius Schumacher <cschum@suse.de> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
