[opensuse-buildservice] Fwd: Request 290505 changed to declined (submit openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3, submit openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3, submit openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3, submit openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3, submit openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3, submit openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3)
Good morning!
Today I'd like to ask how to proceed with this kind of request. Must the request be splitted in single requests for each package?
The background is that the php5-smarty package had been renamed to provide it in two different versions; in the same request other packages have been fixed to reflect those changes - so I see it as a single transaction.
Best regards,
Johannes

Good morning Johannes,
Your argumentation is correct, but we implement it different in
openSUSE:Factory.
Simply submit all packages as a single request; you can mention that
they belong together. They will then be grouped as a staging group,
which in result will have the same effect as you wish: all packages will
be checked in at the same time, ensuring that all remains valid.
Cheers,
Dominique

Hello Dominique! I did it in the request that has been forwarded to factory. Must I provide a new one? If yes, how can I pick single packages from one repository to be submitted in one request? No, you can also use the comment functionality of the requests; simply
write down which ones you consider necessary to be grouped.

Actions: - submit server:php:applications/fusiondirectory => openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3 - submit server:php:applications/gallery2 => openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3 - submit server:php:applications/php5-smarty => openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3 - submit server:php:applications/php5-smarty-gettext => openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3 - submit server:php:applications/php5-smarty2 => openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3 - submit server:php:applications/php5-smarty3 => openSUSE:Factory/php5-smarty3
That doesn't make sense. You are submitting different source packages to the same destination package. I didn't recognize that; the original request from my branch to server:php:application was correct, but the request semi-automatically forwarded request to openSUSE:Factory seem to have lost this. I think I'll open a ticket. Best regards, Johannes Am 13.03.2015 um 11:19 schrieb Andreas Schwab:
