[opensuse-buildservice] OSC source validator

Hi As OSC source validator seems to be required for silent osc operation, I'd like to package it for Debian as well to avoid these noisy warnings. However it brings some questions: - What is the license of the stuff? - Are there some releases happening? - Is there some VCS where the sources are placed? It really looks like a random snapshot of some internal scripts... -- Michal Čihař | http://cihar.com | http://blog.cihar.com

It is maintained and released in openSUSE:Tools{,:Unstable} project by Rudi. Just create submit requests against it. The license should be GPL v2. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I know where it lives in the buildservice, but to make it usable for others, some versioning is usually helpful.
Just create submit requests against it.
I want to package it for Debian in Debian, I fail to see how submit request would help me in this.
The license should be GPL v2.
It would be good to document it in the tarball. -- Michal Čihař | http://cihar.com | http://blog.cihar.com

for such simple things the OBS versioning should be good enough.
Just create submit requests against it.
I want to package it for Debian in Debian, I fail to see how submit request would help me in this.
just branch, add the .dsc and debian.tar and submit it back ?
The license should be GPL v2.
It would be good to document it in the tarball.
Feel free to add it in your request. -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

Yes, anything should be good enough, but I don't see any version in the tarball name.
Just create submit requests against it.
I want to package it for Debian in Debian, I fail to see how submit request would help me in this.

Eh? How will this put the package into Debian? Furthermore I'm not going to investigate what lobotomy is required on standard Debian package to be buildable within OBS [*].

The license is usually specified by author, but anyway, created request id 57088. [*] Just tried to push osc from Debian to OBS with tremendous success at home:Nijel:branches:openSUSE:Tools/osc -- Michal Čihař | http://cihar.com | http://blog.cihar.com

Okay, rudi may want to import it next weeks into gitorious. He is just still on vacation.
Just create submit requests against it.

I see. I thought you just wanted to build a debian package. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
