[opensuse-buildservice] proper project for UPS tools and S.M.A.R.T.?

Hallo. I am thinking about proper repository for UPS (Unbreakable Power Supply) and S.M.A.R.T. utilities (disc health monitoring). I see not similar project in the public repos. I was thinking about new "hardware" repository or something in drivers: (drivers:ups drivers:disc). Are there any other ideas? There would be 2-3 UPS packages and 1-2 S.M.A.R.T. packages. Repository for S.M.A.R.T. may be the same as repo for hdparm, sdparm). -- Best Regards / S pozdravem, Stanislav Brabec software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: sbrabec@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 966, +49 911 740538747 190 00 Praha 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I agree. Good idea. But name drivers seems to me little bit confusing for programs like h(s)dparm. Oh, these didn't come to mind when I read "disc health monitoring".
Project "hardware" could host also things like "wodim" (aka cdrecord), dvd+rw-tools, magnetic tape software...
mmmh and HA features (UPS, health monitoring) would also reside in here? Well, UPS and health monitoring may fit to both. The rest would fit only to one of them. None of hdparm sdparm wodim dvd+rw-tools UPS tools S.M.A.R.T. tools have its project yet, so I'll use project, which will be created. -- Best Regards / S pozdravem, Stanislav Brabec software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: sbrabec@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 966, +49 911 740538747 190 00 Praha 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
