And you can see the message only if you are lucky and there is no conflict in files. If there is one, you don't see this message at all. (You see you have a conflict in whatever.diff instead.)
that should be fixed already in webui (Sascha submitted a patch yesterday at least). But webui has a bug that it can not detect you as request creator (similar to the api bug) that is the reason that the buttons do not show up.
