Hi, trying to upload sources to my OBS instance and running into this: Transmitting file data .Server returned an error: HTTP Error 400: Bad Request service validation error: 2:0: ERROR: Invalid attribute mode for element service Uploading same stuff did work here: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:computersalat:devel:scm/gitea So what am I missing on my OBS Instance? The Error message is not really helpful. -- Christian ------------------------------------------------------------ https://join.worldcommunitygrid.org?recruiterId=177038 ------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.sc24.de - Sportbekleidung ------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Chris,
Christian
Hi,
trying to upload sources to my OBS instance and running into this:
Transmitting file data .Server returned an error: HTTP Error 400: Bad Request service validation error: 2:0: ERROR: Invalid attribute mode for element service
Uploading same stuff did work here: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:computersalat:devel:scm/gitea
So what am I missing on my OBS Instance? The Error message is not really helpful.
I'm just guessing here, but maybe one of the services in your _service is not enabled/known to your instance. Try running osc api -A yourInstance "/service" and check if either of them is missing. Cheers, Dan

Dan Hi Dan,
all services mentioned in the _service file are shown in the api call. So now I am even more _puzzled_ Where can I check on my instance if services are enabled oe disabled? found something ... looks like my Instance doesn't like service method 'manual'. I switched method to 'localonly'. This worked. But why is it not accepted ? It is a valid option here: https://openbuildservice.org/help/manuals/obs-user-guide/cha.obs.source_serv... It is not part of service-modes in docs/api/api/obs.rng in OBS 2.10. It was added in commit d7345fe35d (as an alias for "disabled"). -- Andreas Schwab, SUSE Labs, schwab@suse.de GPG Key fingerprint = 0196 BAD8 1CE9 1970 F4BE 1748 E4D4 88E3 0EEA B9D7 "And now for something completely different."
