[opensuse-buildservice] obs scheduler crashes; log unhelpful...
I run a few OBS systems... one of them is now not running the x86_64 scheduler. The log isn't overly helpful: starting build service scheduler cold start, scanning all projects getting data for all projects from http://foo.bar.com:5352 calculating project dependencies... sorting projects and repositories... exiting (with complete info)... bye. How do I increase the verbosity so I can see why the scheduler is quitting? -- Troy Telford -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org

Looks like you have some shutdown events queued up. Start the scheduler manually: # cd /usr/lib/obs/server # ./bs_sched x86_64 Continue to start this every time it stops with "exiting (with compete info)". You have a left over exit event. Do not restart the scheduler via "restart" but via "start" in this situation.

Just added some code that exit events will be ignored on first start in future. Will be part of OBS 2.4.1 and will avoid this situation in future. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+owner@opensuse.org
