[opensuse-buildservice] createrepo --update in OBS
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Got this in my local OBS, /srv/obs/log/scheduler_i586.log:
- ---8<-----------------------------------------------------------
running createrepo
Options Error: option --update not recognized.
createrepo failed: 256
- ---8<-----------------------------------------------------------
Uh? Never heard of an --update option to createrepo .. ?
I have createrepo-0.4.6-26 installed.
home:cthiel1 has 0.4.10 but that version doesn't have an --update flag
either.
Should I file a bug report ? Known issue ? Hidden trick ?
Longer log excerpt:
- ---8<-----------------------------------------------------------
package loop
- server:webapps/openSUSE_10.2 (spec)
expanding dependencies
sorting 1 packages
- hudson (spec)
nothing changed (looked harder)
building: 0, notready: 0
prp server:webapps/openSUSE_10.2 is finished, creating repos (rpm-md)...
+ src/hudson-1.131-1.1.src.rpm (from hudson)
+ noarch/hudson-1.131-1.1.noarch.rpm (from hudson)
cleaning in src
cleaning in noarch
running createrepo
Options Error: option --update not recognized.
createrepo failed: 256
waiting for an event...

Actually my home project should have --update in createrepo. It's been introduced with this change set: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Tue Aug 7 14:06:52 CEST 2007 - cthiel@suse.de - update to version 0.4.10 * Adds a --update option to createrepo. https://lists.dulug.duke.edu/pipermail/rpm-metadata/2007-March/000756.html * dumpMetadata.py: Fix for older rpm versions - added createrepo-dmd.patch: introduces dmd to generate and apply deltas between repository metadata - added createrepo-0.4.10-fixsymlinks.patch - dropped createrepo-0.4.9-cachefix.patch (included upstream) - reordered patches ------------------------------------------------------------------- Best, Christoph -- Christoph Thiel, Tech.
