[opensuse-buildservice] Request for integrating several packages into Factory
Hi All, I would like to integrate several packages available on third-party repositories into openSUSE Factory. I plan to start small, then grow. This will allow good Quality Control, from both me, community, and Novell. I think this is preferable to building big repository of several dozens packages then submitting all-at-once. The following packages are planned for submission for now: -banner (GPL) -iperf (other license) I really want to see more packages as part of openSUSE 11.1 https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=home%3AFenixNBK -- -Alexey Eromenko "Technologov" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

You are late at the show. This package was already available for some time, at: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jimfunk/openSUSE_11.0/repoda... What is the added value of your package, compared to the one above? -- Richard Bos We are borrowing the world of our children, It is not inherited from our parents. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I have no added value. But this package is not part of Factory, it's just third-party package. I want to make it part of openSUSE OS. -- -Alexey Eromenko "Technologov" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org

I have no added value.
Oh, so why do you build it than?

It's part of factory.... http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jimfunk/openSUSE_Factory/rep... The package won't become part of the openSUSE OS if _you_ start to build it. It will be made part of the openSUSE OS, because it is part of BS... That's the whole idea of the BS. I'm subscribed to the list, so there is no need to Cc me on my personal email address, you should know that.
