https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=710880 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=710880#c0 Summary: Gateway line missing from kernel IP routing table Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mcphrsp@aol.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 My Samsung NC10 netbook, (Intel Atom. 32 bit i586. Atheros AR5007EG WiFi card, module ath5k ?) was ok with WiFi in openSUSE 11.3 until update to kernel 2.6.34.8-0.2 (default i686). After the update, no WiFi connection. I discovered that a line was missing in the Kernel IP routing table. This was fixed by “sudo /sbin/route add default gw 192.168 0.1” This omission has however been carried over into openSUSE 11.4 and is still there with kernel 2.6.37.6-0.7/KDE 4.6.00 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Reboot 2. 3. Actual Results: No WiFi connection to internet but browser can connect to router. Expected Results: Should have connected to internet. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
