https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=213889 andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de ------- Comment #2 from andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de 2006-10-20 07:00 MST ------- WindowMaker tries to replace the following existing directories with symlinks: /usr/X11R6/GNUstep /usr/X11R6/share/WindowMaker That doesn't work with rpm and is a packaging bug. It must at least somehow move the existing directories out of the way or delete them in its %pre scriplet to allow unpacking the new package. Or find a different solution for the problem that was intended to be solved by adding these symlinks. Btw. bugs like these are not seldom, an automated way to check the whole distribution for these would be nice. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=213889 ------- Comment #5 from lnussel@novell.com 2006-10-20 08:00 MST ------- the dir->symlink was a stupid oversight of course, *grmbl* I don't like messing with files in the user's home at all. With the changed files it wouldn't be possible to use the home dir on a 10.1 anymore once you started a 10.2 WindowMaker. What about not moving WindowMaker and just leaving it in /usr/X11R6? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
