https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231118 ------- Comment #2 from rpace@sbcglobal.net 2006-12-30 15:02 MST ------- note: I don't know was version RC5 is. This problem was found in retail version as shipped in the box. Also, I know the USB ports do work, since I have dual boot Windows XP, and Windows XP does not have any problem accessing the USB external drive or USB memory stick. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

It sounds like you need ACPI enabled to get the PCI interrupt routing working properly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Otherwise, the install hangs at "starting udev...". I've been monitoring 232013 and it was suggested to install the latest x86_64 kernel, which I did. Now I am able to boot with acpi support and the PCI interrupt routing is working. 2.6.20-rc4 is the kernel version from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/x86_64/HEAD.kernel-default.x86_64.rpm -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
