Noise level slider remains unchanged (gnome-volume-control). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.record sound through microphone (gnome-sound-recorder) 2. 3. Actual Results: Silent file was recorded. Expected Results: Record sound. Oldcpu (his nickname) user of openSUSEs forum (http://forums.opensuse.org/) helped me to solve this problem. For asus k52jr should be set "lifebook" model of alsa model option. BIOS gives only one pin for the internal built-in mic, judging from alsa-info.sh output. So the thread can be closed. Moreover there was no bug at all. All, that I was supposed to do, was to set the proper "model" option of alsa.
