[Bug 985477] New: home:embar-:Lietukas/systemd-reload-firmware-service: Bug
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=985477 Bug ID: 985477 Summary: home:embar-:Lietukas/systemd-reload-firmware-service: Bug Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: opensuse.lietuviu.kalba@gmail.com Reporter: sb56637@gmail.com QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 681255 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=681255&action=edit dmesg Hello, I use your excellent systemd-reload-firmware.service on many openSUSE spins that I generate with SuseStudio. It normally works very well for most hardware, but on laptops with Broadcom WiFI and the broadcom-wl driver package pre-installed (from Packman repo), systemd-reload-firmware doesn't seem to detect it for the live session. After installation the Broadcom WiFI comes up automatically. I am attaching dmesg from a live session boot. It appears that it doesn't throw the usual "firmware not found" message, so your script doesn't detect it. I can not test, because I don't have computer with such hardware.
