[Bug 1094933] New: Installer will not longer allow RAID1 installations
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1094933 Bug ID: 1094933 Summary: Installer will not longer allow RAID1 installations Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.0 Hardware: x86-64 OS: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: clkennedy38@gmail.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build Identifier: I prefer to create my partitions within a mirrored array. This makes it easier to swap disks when necessary. This has never been available in your installer, but was never prohibited till 15.0 as long as the disks were pre-partitioned. What I typically do: mdadm --create /dev/md0 -n2 -l1 /dev/sda /dev/sdb --metadata-0.90 I then partition /dev/md0: /dev/md0p1 5G swap /dev/md0p2 25G / Prior to 15.0 your installer saw /dev/md0p1 and /dev/md0p2 as disk partitions and I was able to install using them uneventfully. Now the installer no longer sees them as disk partitions thus prohibiting this type of installation. Is there a work-around for this or am I stuck? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.See above 2. 3. Actual Results: See above Expected Results: See above See above -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Forgive me but I'm confused as to where I can find: yast-storage-ng-4.0.18.rpm
Just for clarification, you need yas2-storage-ng >= 4.0.183 I guess that mentioning 4.0.18 (instead of 4.0.183) is just a minor copy&paste error, but just in case... ;-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
