In a german TYPO3 forum http://www.typo3forum.net/forum/indexed-search/19164-xls-indizierung.html#po... the bug was reported at 25.10.2007. Perhaps Novell can help people to work with TYPO3. A lot of software is missing on your SLES10-SP1 Distribution (GraphicsMagick or ImageMagick for TYPO3 Image Processing), (xlhtml, catdoc, unrtf for the TYPO3 Indexed Search Engine), (phpMyAdmin for MySQL Database Management).
