[Bug 700790] New: the battery capacity of the power management is wrong after suspend
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=700790 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=700790#c0 Summary: the battery capacity of the power management is wrong after suspend Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: timshel@rocketmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=435239) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=435239) Power Management Applet screen shot User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 The battery capacity of the power management applet is shown as 13% while it is fully charged. This issue also happens if the battery isn't fully charged or is discharged. If I reboot the battery is shown with 100% like normal. This problem only appears after suspend but not every time. I think it has something to with switching between powered and battery mode while the laptop is in suspend. I have a Thinkpad X201 with the latest bios. In case of the screenshot the battery is fully charged. It doesn't seem to be a Kernel/ACPI problem since the values in proc are correct but I don't know which values KDE uses. Gkrellm for example shows the correct value. $:/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0> cat state present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: charged present rate: 0 mA remaining capacity: 5673 mAh present voltage: 12979 mV $:/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0> cat info present: yes design capacity: 6216 mAh last full capacity: 5673 mAh battery technology: rechargeable design voltage: 11100 mV design capacity warning: 283 mAh design capacity low: 18 mAh cycle count: 0 capacity granularity 1: 1 mAh capacity granularity 2: 1 mAh model number: 42T4837 serial number: 30606 battery type: LION OEM info: LGC If you need other information please let me know. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.suspend the X201 while the power cord is connected 2.remove the power cord 3.resume the system Actual Results: shown battery capacity is wrong Expected Results: correct battery capacity -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
