http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=507092 Summary: X mice config lost while working (rare) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- It is very rare, in half of year it happened to me 3 times and I still don't know how to reproduce it. Out of the blue either acceleration for mice is almost set to 0, or buttons are switched (left<->right). But this change is made on the fly, no file is modified. I can logout and log in and it can help, but for example today it didn't help (this is odd!), and I have to restart computer. After that acceleration and button mappings were restored. I have 3 mice -- touchpad, trackpoint and real mouse (BT). First two are configured as right-handed, mouse is configured as left-handed. Acceleration change applies to touchpad, left<->right to touchpad and trackpoint. You expect from us to reproduce an issue you hardly can reproduce yourself? Sorry, but I need to close this one as WORKSFORME. I seriously suggest to switch to evdev driver ASAP (default on 11.2 and for the packages in obs://X11:XOrg) and configure your mice seperately via xinput on-the-fly. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
