https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=652600 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=652600#c0 Summary: systemd: getty started before system boot finished Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: kasievers@novell.com ReportedBy: lnussel@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: aj@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- the gettys on the text consoles are started before the system is actually done with booting (ie lsb scripts still starting). Logging in at that time isn't fun though as console messages interfere. gettys should be started the very last just as with sysv IMO. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

And also no pretty-printed service messages. In the future gettys will be started only on demand, not unconditionally, which should solve this problem. You might bring this issue to the upstream bugzilla, to discuss it, but I doubt there will be any changes regarding the current behavior. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
