[Bug 398713] New: Crypted Home and Swap Fails Install
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=398713 Summary: Crypted Home and Swap Fails Install Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ahowarth@iinet.net.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer This bug seems to be sufficiently different to 345039 to warrant a separate report. This occurs on a fresh install of OpenSuse 11RC2Plus AMD64 KDE livecd. My partition (all primary) setup was: /dev/sdd1 /boot 100mb ext3 + format /dev/sdd2 swap 2.5gb swap + crypt (no crypt key) /dev/sdd3 / 15gb ext3 + format /dev/sdd4 /home 94.1GB ext3 + format + crypt (user supplied crypt key) After the liveCD install routine, the machine posted and started running the kernel inits. The following message interrupted the boot process: "Could not find /dev/sdd3 Want me to fall back Y/n?" I then selected yes, and eventually received the message "not found" and the sys was exiting to /bin/sh. I then reinstalled using the same LiveCD, using the same partition setup, all the same except for no encryption and the whole install process worked. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
