But the buttons did not fit in the screen. You have to re-size the box a lot to see them. Bug is 100% reproducible. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to opensuse.org and search for a package, click on " one click install" 2. continue untill you get the key screen I described. 3. that's it! Expected Results: The buttons should have been visible immediately. I didn't know what to do until I found out I could resize this "apple" style dialog box. You only need the src/YGDialog.cc change - the rest is just some cleanup. Having said that - while my test dialogs seem to work nicely now, there is a lot of gratuitous sizing flash/bang, and top-level dialogs are no longer sized as sensibly as all that, neither are they centered; it could use more easy-hackery and UI love. If you start the Gnome Live CD installer of 12.2 RC1 you have to maximize the window manually because it is too small. The Next button on the first installer page is only partly visible with 1024x768 and full screen. The buttons for accepting a new gpg repository key are still invisible and it seems impossible to increase the window size to see them. Yesterday I was trying to add the Tumbleweed repositories to my system using Yast in openSUSE 12.1, but I could not because it was IMPOSSIBLE to resize the windows large enough for the Trust Key button to display. The only workaround was to quit Yast, losing all of my repository changes, and launch the QT interface from Terminal yast --qt (Of course ncurses would have worked as well.) Resizing the window usually does work, but you still shouldn't have to. The default window size should "just work." While the initial window size problem is now gone, the original issue namely buttons getting cut-off persists exactly the same unfortunately. I have a situation where in a 1024x768 virtualbox machine the live installer, even when maximised, has its buttons cut-off as I have shown in the screenshot in comment 24. This is not only an issue with the Live installer, but even in an installed system, the software management module gets its buttons hidden when the repositry refreshing progress bars have too much text above them which seems to extend beyond the yast2-gtk boundaries "carrying" the buttons with them too (for example Download: http://download.opensuse.org/.../packages.gz etc). Could you please explain how your solution exactly looks like okay. well, when I made applications using visual studio, there would be a container (the GUI window) and when we added any control to the application, we could dock it to the container. As a result the control would always stay within the window. Now, all we had to do was give a proper initial size to the window.
or provide a patch? I do not have knowledge of GTK programming hence i can't contribute by code right now.
