https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693627 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693627#c0 Summary: After updating new installation of 11.4 64-bit ntfs drives are not automatically mounted during boot Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: IMW@imwilliams.plus.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Having installed a fresh copy of OpenSUSE 11.4 64-bit from copy downloaded 12-May-11 on an AMD 7850 with 4Gb memory as a dual boot system with Windows 7, I was initially able to access the ntfs drive partitions. Subsequently, however, having added the optional software and running the YAST "Online Update" the ntfs drives are no longer mounted during boot. They are still listed, apparently, correctly in fstab and I could mount the drives manually using "mount" in a terminal I have changed the options, in fstab, to "default" but the drives are still not mounted during boot but can be mounted manually. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.On my system:- Fresh install of OpenSUSE 11.4 64-bit. 2.Install Non OSS from CD. 3.Run YAST "Online Update" Actual Results: NTFS drive which were previously mounted during booting are no longer mounted. Expected Results: Expected to find NTFS drives mounted during booting a, therefore, files accessible. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
