While debugging bug 264720, I got: gdb --quiet /usr/bin/Xorg Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1". (gdb) run Starting program: /usr/bin/Xorg [...] [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread 47562934113040 (LWP 16766)] Error while reading shared library symbols: Cannot find new threads: generic error linux-nat.c:546: internal-error: wait returned unexpected status 0x4057f A problem internal to GDB has been detected, further debugging may prove unreliable. Quit this debugging session? (y or n) This error is similar to the one reported in http://www.nabble.com/generic-error-with-a-statically-linked-multithreaded-p... and http://sources.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2696 Except I have a newer gdb and I can exit gdb w/o hanging.
