0) Uninstall any other zapping version.

Done.

1) install /mnt/dvd/suse/i586/zapping-0.9.6-51.i586.rpm

Done.

2) run gconftool-rebuild as root.

Done. download "/pub/opensuse/distribution/10.2/repo/debug/suse/i586/zapping-debuginfo-0.9.6-51.i586.rpm and install run gconftool-rebuild again.

3) rm -rf ~zap/.gconf* # Delete all saved configurations of user zap

Done. Everything starting with g*/*

4) log out as "cer", log in as "zap". 6) Start an xterm, start zapping, try preferences...
