looks like a 13.1 specific issue then, on my factory installation updating python-killswitch and urfkill was sufficient
On my 13.1 I updated python-killswitch to 0.4-1.1 from Factory and urfkill to 0.4.0.1-38.1 as per your comment #12, and it works! As a sidenote, I don't have the liburfkill-* and typelib-* packages installed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Gary: any more ideas ?
urfkill in 13.1/Base:System didn't support logind and consolekit wasn't installed by default now, so the daemon couldn't find a session checker. I received patches to support logind recently and will merge the patches to Base:System. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You can tell, how you have done?
I have uninstall liburfkill and typelib-* and still the same problem.
I have the following packages/versions: - killswitch-applet 0.2.3-12.1.2 - python-killswitch 0.4-1.1 - rfkill 0.5-2.1.2 (don't know if this one is relevant) - urfkill 0.4.0.1-38.1 - systemd 208-15.1 - systemd-presets-branding-openSUSE 0.3.0-3.1.2 - ConsoleKit 0.4.5-19.2.1 Note comment 17, your log says "name org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit was not provided"... Hi Jordi,
Could you try the urfkill packages in my repo[*]?

Thanks, I managed to get it working using your rpms. However, the killswitch-applet icon is invisible. It's there, not hidden, but I can not see it. I can click on it, disable/enable devices but it's invisible. regards, Carlos -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'm using KDE, so that may be the problem. A different bug report i guess. Carlos -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I'm still on KDE 4.11 so that may be it. Carlos
Carlos I had to re-install opensuse 13.1 on my Lenovo yoga and I have tried the killswitch-applet before to make any update and was working properly with the Icon, was a new installation only I have added the consolekit. Also I need to compile the drivers for the bluetooth and the wireless, usually the bluetooth I get blocked by software and I unblock using RFKILL but now I use killswitch-applet and works perfectly and also is saving the status for when I re-initiate the computer, before I need to execute RFKILL every time I initiate the computer. Probably you have something missing.
