I tried to change the wallpaper (Background Image) to a photograph from my camera. I first placed the image on the desktop and then in "Configure Desktop" navigated to and selected it. Clicked Ok. At this point all is/was fine. I moved the image into my Home folder, then refreshed the Desktop. Now I get a white background with no image. Next I went back into "Configure Desktop" and navigated to the image in my Home folder, selected it and Ok'ed. No image just a white bakground. So I tried selecting the previous image without a problem. But my own image will not show. My work around for this is to put my image with all the other images in the "Wallpaper" directory and copy and edit one of the description files renamed to my image. After this I can select and see my image as Wallpaper. Not a big issue but it may help someone.
