Unfortunately, I don't see through this installation/yast2/zypper topic at all and I'm an absolute beginner in these things. But I clearly noticed that these cases almost always lead to dependency conflicts when running "opensuseupdater" or "sudo zypper dup". Isn't there a way improve this, e.g. by making sure that "yast2-packages" are synchronized with "zypper-packages"? Yast and zypper both use libzypp to retrieve the information about installed packages. There's something else going wrong on your system. Bug #431466 lets me assume that there might be a problem with the repositories you are using. But I need more information. What makes you assume yast2 recognizes packages as installed, which are not recognized by zypper?
