The directory simply doesn't exist. I've downgraded to udev-128 and everything works just fine. At boot, udev doesn't load modules. And, loading the module manually doesn't result in creating device files, too. It's not only about the sound but alo network and other modules. (In my case, microcode_ctl stuck a minute, too.) However, the sequence "killall udevd" and "/etc/init.d/boot.udev start" fixes all things. I downgraded mkinitrd to SLE11 version, ran mkinitrd, and reboot. Now all works. So, it's likely a problem of mkinitrd...
