https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=298722 Summary: Save software.o.o search queries Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: wiki AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: leo@kangaroot.net QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: Other Would it be possible to add a small feature to the software.opensuse.org/search to save all the searches for suse packages that don't return a result. (Offcourse with the necessary security in mind) Afterwards we can make a top 10 from this 'wanted-but-not-available' software every month or so and see which software still needs to be packaged to make users even more happy ;-) Or add the resuts to http://en.opensuse.org/Package_Wishlist -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I think it is harder to find out, if a search returns something, but it is not that what the user wanted ... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=298722#c2 --- Comment #2 from Andreas Bauer <abauer@novell.com> 2007-08-14 07:57:04 MST --- Yes that's possible. We have to gather more statistical data anyway. For the second case (search result is not what the user wanted) we would have to provide minimal feedback possibilities. Like a simple link saying "This search didn't produce what I wanted". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
