All its dependencies are still not ported, which would result in a functionality loss. Yes, we can easily update Gwenview to the latest KF5 version, but that would mean that there is no more integration with the kipi-plugins, Neither with the some other libraries. So in other words, one would end up with just a basic viewer for pictures and graphics.
