FTR: hplip, as is now in distro - vanilla, shall work with Plasma 5. there are however 2 problems. on startup, it can happen that KSNI module & tray are not yet initialized, so hplip "missdetects" the tray. (i.e., if running already P5 session, and executing hp-systray -x, it is correctly loaded). for this we have process-events-for-systray.patch. 2nd, there are some menu problem, where not all items are always rendered correctly. for this we have hp-systray-make-menu-appear-in-sni-qt-indicator-with-kde.patch and hp-systray-make-menu-title-visible-in-sni-qt-indicator.patch. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
