With any other userid, kdesu is doing nothing after the password question. Gnomesu hangs after the password box. However this Factory repository has another problem with regards to CAIRO, Pango and Pixman. I have now the situation that I compiled myself the pixman library and also Pango to get thing stable. Once I rebooted, the kdesu, gnomesu applications worked again as expected. Indications are that the update for pixman (xorg-x11-libs) will be in Factory soon.
