[Bug 642813] New: Akonadi/kontact google calendar sync always says 'invalid password'
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=642813 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=642813#c0 Summary: Akonadi/kontact google calendar sync always says 'invalid password' Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: iceman@fastmail.com.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 SUSE/3.6.10-0.3.1 Firefox/3.6.10 I'm trying to use Akonadi to sync kontact with my google kalendar on opensuse 11.3. I've installed the akonadi-googledata and libgcal0 packages from KDE:Extras and followed these instructions: http://www.stealthcopter.com/blog/2010/05/setting-up-google-calendar-with-ko... The problem is that the Akonadi Google Calendar resource keeps saying I've entered an invalid password. I've tried logging into gmail with a browser and confirmed I'm putting in the right password and username. Anyone have any ideas? The only thing I can think of is that here in Germany gmail.com gets redirected to mail.google.com due to some trademark dispute, could this be tripping up Akonadi? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Setup Akonadi google calendar resource 2.Enter correct google account username and password 3.attempt to connect Actual Results: 'invalid password' error message Expected Results: successful connection -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
