Problem: The vnc session aborts after enter login name and password. Steps to Reproduce - Install System from GNOME CD - Once logged into the sytem run "yast2 remote" and configure the following settings: -- Allow Remote Administration -- OpenPort in Firewall - After settings those values click the Finish button - Reboot the System - From a remote workstation attempt to start a vncsession vncviewer <ip address>:1 - The vncsession will start. They are from this patch on b.g.o: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=85588 from this bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=376010 In gdb, it looked like gdm was picking up ::ff:ff:1 as its localhost ipv6 address; I haven't tracked that down yet (and I may be mistaken) but this patch at least gets this mess hobbling on all fours for the meantime.
