https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223838 ------- Comment #3 from jsmeix@novell.com 2006-11-27 03:45 MST ------- Since CUPS 1.2 a default queue is also broadcasted, see http://localhost:631/help/whatsnew.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Browsing .. 8. Network Default Printer; CUPS now advertises server-default printers so that clients can choose the correct default network printer ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Therefore it makes sense to have no DefaultPrinter in printers.conf on a client system. Therefore "lpstat -d" may return a default queue which does not exist in printers.conf (i.e. a remote queue), for example my current config: caps:~ # lpstat -d system default destination: oj7210fax caps:~ # lpstat -v oj7210fax device for oj7210fax: ipp://nelson.suse.de:631/printers/oj7210fax -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
