I have the dmesg that I will attach too. I have found out something interesting about the problem. If acpi and apic are both set to either on or off everything works fine. If one is off and the other is on I have problems with the network not working. On the installation screen there is an option of having apic off, I read that you can have problems with installing with this on so i've always installed suse with it off. I'm guessing that if I installed suse using the regular install that these problems would have never been an issue. I guess from now on I should do the standard install and not turn anything off unless I have problems installing.
