Yes, to me it's fixed. But as far as I understand this is only a temporary solution, since in order to migrate to Wayland and XWayland all old X11 input drivers (e.g. xf86-input-synaptics, xf86-input-vmmware, etc.) must be trashed and replaced with xf86-input-libinput only, which will manage also touchpad and virtual mouse events on top of libinput.
