[Bug 1095592] New: Network doesn't work with kernel 4.16.12 on a lenovo B5400

http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1095592 Bug ID: 1095592 Summary: Network doesn't work with kernel 4.16.12 on a lenovo B5400 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: erposti@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I upgraded my Tumbleweed system on May, 31st, at 9am and rebooted. This installed kernel 4.16.12-1.4 and after the reboot i couldn't connect to any network, neither using cable nor wifi. DHCP just timeouts without being able to configure my network settings I tried rebooting with my previos kernel (4.16.11-1.6) and that one worked fine, so there seems to be a regression on the 4.16.12 kernel. This happens on a lenovo B5400 with Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 ethernet and Realtek RTL8723BE PCIe wireless chipset -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Through a very quick glance, I didn't see anything obvious, at least both eth0 and wlan0 became ready on 4.16.12. So if anything, it should be in a net core stuff. Michal, any idea? As it's a regression in 4.16.12, adding Jiri to Cc, too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
