Version 12.2 KDE (previous versions did) does not activate horizontal or vertical scrolling at touchpad bottom or right edge by default. I had to activate manually in Configure Desktop (System settings) -> Hardware -> Input Devices -> Touchpad -> Scrolling the checkbox "Horizontal scrolling at bottom edge" and "Vertical scrolling at right edge" and increment the field "Move distance to scroll a single line" in "Horizontal scrolling" to 100. At least in my case, it seems an error of the default configuration of KDE. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Thanks for posting this, it fixed the problem for me. I agree it has to be a problem in the default KDE configuration. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780992 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780992#c8 --- Comment #8 from Andrea Turrini <andrea.turrini@gmail.com> 2013-01-23 11:42:22 UTC --- I do not think this is not a problem specific for the default KDE configuration, since in my case I use LXDE, not KDE, but the problem is here. I have found two ways to use touchpad scroll: either by using two fingers, or by running "synclient VertEdgeScroll=1" on login. I think it is enough to add 'Option "VertEdgeScroll" "1"' to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf to make the change persistent (not tried). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
