[Bug 298176] New: Aug 3 2007 xen patch
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=298176 Summary: Aug 3 2007 xen patch Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SLES 10 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: cgriffin@novell.com ReportedBy: josh@tstc.edu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer I applied the Aug 3 2007 xen patches to my HP Proliant ML370 G5 server running SLES 10 sp1 x64. When I rebooted the server none of my HVM's would start. As soon as I attempted to start the HVM's (SLES 9, OES 1, Windows 2k3) the entire server would reboot immediately. I am unable to create any new HVM's when I try I get the exact same results the entire server will reboot. The paravirtualized guests work fine. I have tried a few things such as setting acpi=0 and apci=0. I set dom 0 to 512 MB and 256 MB RAM with no change. I still get the same results. I checked to be sure all firmware was updated on the HP and it was. I am at a total loss here. I do not get any good information from /var/log/messages or /var/log/xen/xend.log. I am dead in the water now because of this patch. Please help. I posted this bug on the Novell support web site, but I haven't heard anything from there. I am also unable to add info to the bug, so I am trying here.
